Ginger Shot

You don’t have to spend $$$ on the tiniest ginger shots in stores, you can just make your own at home! It’s easy and quick!

Ginger Shot

This is the one shot you can drink first thing in the morning without feeling bad! And you’re actually doing something good for your body, giving it an immune boost.

I make a batch of this ginger shot once a week, keep it in the fridge, have a shot each morning, and feel great and energized.

One ginger, three recipes

Okay, listen up, I actually found the holy trinity of ginger recipes:

Take a ginger root (about 300g) and peel it. Then use a vegetable peeler to peel off ginger shreds. You will find that you end up with leftover, woody ginger that you can’t peel (this we will use for the Ginger Shot!). As for the ginger shreds, boil them in sugar water to make Ginger Beer Syrup. Let it soak. The next day, remove the ginger shreds from the sugar water and pickle the ginger with rice vinegar and salt to make Pickled Ginger.

Isn’t this really cool? You can use one ginger for all three of the recipes! I just love when recipes go hand in hand. Living in perfect harmony!

How to make Ginger Shots

You will need:

  • ginger (±100g peeled)
  • lemon juice
  • water
pouring ginger shot through nutmilk bag
Step 2: Pour the ginger mixture through a nut milk bag to strain it.

And there you have it: Homemade Ginger Shots! Store it in the fridge for up to a week.

This Ginger Lemon Shot is intense. You can always dilute it with more water or coconut water to make it milder.

Love it? Rate it!

I hope you enjoy this Immune-Boosting Ginger Shot as much as I do! Let me know if you give it a try!
