This is creamy and frozen banana goodness! The raspberries add a bit of sweetness and tang, and parsley makes this smoothie extra refreshing.
Disclaimer: This is a review for the book 40 Days of Green Smoothies by Becky Striepe. In order to make my own opinion of the book, I got a digital copy of the eBook.
Becky Striepe’s new book 40 Days of Green Smoothies is a great collection of delicious smoothie recipes. Not only does it contain a new smoothie recipe for 40 days, but she also breaks the recipes down week by week, including tips and weekly shopping lists.
If you’ve always wanted to create a healthy smoothie habit but struggled along the way, this book will help you a lot with that! I mean how good does that strawberries & cream, pineapple parfait or chocolate covered raspberry smoothie sound?!
I have a not so secret obsession with parsley. In my opinion, parsley makes every meal better – I could literally sprinkle it on top of everything. So, of course, I was psyched when I saw that Becky Striepe’s new book contained 8!! smoothies with parsley. One of which I’ll include below: The Banana Berry Fresh Smoothie.
This is the first time I made a smoothie with parsley, but I’m absolutely in love with it! This is definitely not the last time, I’ve put parsley into a smoothie :)
For the looks, I’ve added some freeze-dried raspberries on top. I’ve got a huge jar of various freeze-dried fruits (raspberries, strawberries, pears, apples, and peaches) for Christmas. They are so delicious!

Parsley!?! I am so very intriguedđ± So it must have like a sweet/savory thing going on then, sounds kind of similar to those green juices with herbs in them. What a neat idea, Becky is so creative. And I love the extra thick texture chia seeds always add :) I am going to have to try this for myself now, next time I buy a bunch of parsley for a recipe and can never use it all up (which happens pretty much every time I buy parsley lol)

Yep, I didn’t think parsley in a smoothie would be such a good addition, but it is! It gives the smoothie such a fresh vibe :)
Hahaha parsley never goes bad on my watch, I sprinkle it over pretty much every meal (my boyfriend often judges me for that).

I was just thinking about trying some new smoothie recipes. This one is interesting since I’ve never tried parsley in a smoothie (not even a juice). Thanks for sharing!
Bianca
I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh taste of parsley in the smoothie! :)
I’m just trying to build a healthier habit and to drink more smoothies – so this book came just in time!

Thanks for posting this recipe. It looks and sounds yummy! I received a Nutribullet for Christmas. I am hoping this recipe can be made in that, rather than a full-size blender.
Bianca
Yep, I’m certain of it that it works in the Nutribullet :)

I definitely need to try out more smoothies other than chocolate and banana đ
Bianca
I feel the same way! My go-to-smoothie is frozen bananas, cocoa powder and peanut butter :D not the healthiest!

Sounds like me haha
