Make your hummus green by adding fresh spinach! This vegan, oil-free and gluten-free spinach hummus is perfect to enjoy with crackers, veggies, bread chips.

  • 17 oz canned chickpeas - rinsed and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh spinach (tightly packed)
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 teaspoon salt (and more to taste)
  • 3 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1/2-3/4 cup water (add more if it's too thick)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon white sesame seeds


  • Put all the ingredients except the sesame seeds in your blender or food processor.
  • Blend until smooth (add more water if the consistency is too thick).
  • Top with black and white sesame seeds. Enjoy with crackers, veggies or bread chips!
