Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw hazelnuts
  • 2 cups water + more for soaking
  • 4 dates pitted
  • 3 teaspoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Fill the hazelnuts in a bowl, cover them with water and let them soak overnight.
  • Drain the water, rinse and place the hazelnuts together with the dates, cocoa powder and 2 cups of fresh water into a high-speed blender and blend for about 3-4 minutes until completely fine.
  • Place a nutmilk bag over a large glass or bowl and pour the liquid over the cloth. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible (Don't toss the hazelnut meal, you can use it in muffins or cakes).
  • Fill the hazelnut milk into a glass bottle, let it chill in the fridge and enjoy! You can store it in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Notes

Expert tip: A good nut milk bag is even more important than a powerful blender. I've found that a nylon nut milk bag works best! The milk is perfectly smooth and silky.
